As the first days of Binh Ngo Spring gently approach, Hoi An embraces a renewed look — more radiant and inspiring than ever Amid this seasonal transition, the Festival of Light & Heritage 2026 at Hoi An Memories Land emerges as a remarkable highlight, opening a spring journey rich in heritage impressions.

Running from February 17 to April 30, 2026, the Festival of Light & Heritage 2026 at Hoi An Memories Land is more than a cultural–artistic event. It is an inspiring spring destination where light, immersive spaces, and living heritage come together to create a vibrant experiential journey.

Over the course of more than two months, the festival unfolds as a seamless experience. Each phase carries its own spring rhythm: festive Tet celebrations, reflective heritage moments, and radiant nights of light and artistic brilliance.

The Festival of Light & Heritage 2026 Program

Week 1 | February 17 – March 1: Heritage Tet – Tet of Three Regions

Traditional Tet is fully recreated within a heritage setting, where the cultural essence of Northern, Central, and Southern Vietnam converges:

  • Lucky Red Envelope Festival welcoming prosperity and good fortune
  • Spring calligraphy experience expressing wishes for peace, wealth, and happiness
  • “Tet of Three Regions” artistic minishow celebrating the vibrant spring spirit across Vietnam

Opening Celebration

The festival deepens its heritage focus with activities honoring Hoi An’s legacy:

  • Exhibition and hands-on experiences featuring traditional craft villages: pottery, carpentry, and local handicrafts

  • Minishow “The Merchant Ship – A Heritage Painting,” recreating Hoi An’s once-thriving international trading port

  • The spectacular outdoor performance Hoi An Memories Show, where more than 400 years of history are woven together through light, music, and heartfelt storytelling

March 4 – Exclusive Opening Night Event

A first-of-its-kind performance in Vietnam: a lantern-themed Dragon & Phoenix drone show combined with fireworks and live outdoor spectacle, illuminating the sky above Hoi An.

Weeks 3 & 4 | March 23 – April 29: Ceramic & Silk Honoring Weeks

  • Hands-on workshops: pottery making, mask painting, lantern crafting, betel leaf preparation

  • Craft heritage exhibitions: Thanh Ha Pottery – Kim Bong Carpentry – Silk – Bamboo

  • Artistic minishows celebrating the rustic yet refined beauty of traditional craftsmanship

April 30: Closing Ceremony of the Festival of Light & Heritage 2026

The festival concludes with the emotional grandeur of the Hoi An Memories Show, like a living cinematic masterpiece recounting over 400 years of Hoi An’s history.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to release floating lanterns along the Hoai River, illuminating the water while sending wishes for happiness, peace, and fulfillment in the year ahead.
